Due to changing circumstances I need to store my book collection in my garage for probably 4-5 years. It’s a total of around 300 books. However, I don’t want the books to be damaged or to pick up a musty smell as I do plan to have them back inside my home on proper bookshelves down the road. In the summer garage temperatures can exceed 100 degrees and winters are rainy. I’m concerned that simply putting them in plastic storage bins won’t be sufficient. Does anyone have experience or suggestions for how to best store them?
