    Hey book suggesters,

Going to be starting a new book with my developer book club.

In my career, I’ve done a lot of stuff with MVCs and app-related coding. I’ve always felt a big desire to get a better understanding of all the other stuff going out there though. Kubernetes, networking tech, microservices that use VMs vs. AWS hooks, etc.

I understand it’s a bit ridiculous in terms of scope. Still, I see a lot of books like “the forces that will inevitably shape tech” blah blah. I don’t want the abstract, I’m looking for a book that’s going over all of the technical stuff within the realm of software development as it exists.

A survey of modern software development if you will. Got any recs?

    1. I feel like you might have trouble finding a book that matches your query. While there are noticeable trends as to what language/framework/software developers are using these days, there a wide variety of ways that companies can choose to build their tech stacks.

Additionally finding a book might be hard since what is popular continues to change every couple years. If you’re interested in latest data driven results in current check out the stack overflow 2023 survey. https://survey.stackoverflow.co/2023/ from there, you can probably find some books on the topics it features that interest you.
