As the title says, would love to read a book about two women of different generations. Would enjoy it when they both are trapped in the same space and can only converse with each other.
I've enjoyed The Door by Magda Szabo, for example. Looking for something more like that!

Not as specific, but How the Garcia Girls Lost Their Accents has a lot to do with generational differences between parents and their children. There’s a lot of great comparisons of the women (mom and aunts v kids).
The woman in the white kimono might fit what you’re after. Has a very emotional meeting of the main characters from 2 different eras
I haven’t read it yet but The Mostly True Story of Tanner and Louise is on my TBR list any sounds like what you are looking for
