To some this may seem like a very random mix but they all have unique narrators/perspectives of the lives of young women. I would like something modern, preferably after 2000. Something edgy with a storyline that grabs you. I really enjoyed Normal People but it was hard for me to get into Beautiful World, Where Are You and I don't think I'll finish it. I don't really want anything creepy or too messed up (like Luster, although I love the book it's not my vibe right now), just something that feels real and has a nice young adult female voice.
Some books that I've been looking at are Boy Parts, The Guest, All Fours, Just Kids; though I don't feel like any of these quite grasp what I'm looking for.
I did also try reading Queenie after another person recommended it to me from here and also couldn't get into it. Similar to Luster but less interesting.
Will also accept poetry recommendations since I would like to get more into those.
