It was a short novel that I read freshman year of highschool. The main point of the story was that this kid was the son of an infamous serial killer who would take women’s hands as trophies. The kid would later have to live with police officers after his father was caught. I remember that his dad told the police where the bodies were located so he wouldn’t get the death penalty. I also remember that another serial killer popped up in the town, so the kid writes letters to his dad so he can catch this killer.
