*The Creak on the Stairs* by Eva Björg Ægisdóttir is an Icelandic murder mystery. I can’t remember particularly whether snow is specified but it’s definitely very *cold* vibes.
Ditto for *Hercule Poirot’s Christmas* by Agatha Christie, which is cozier and less gritty.
*The Hunger* by Alma Katsu is not mystery, but rather a horror book based on the Donner Party, and famously the last part takes place in snow.
I also can’t remember how snowy the *Girl With the Dragon Tattoo* books are, but I know at least some of them are!
