Hi, I'm looking for a book with this topic, it could be a thriller/gothic story but I have in mind a specific plot: a married couple, the husband convinces his wife to move to a rural area or countryside and things go downhill from there.
I enjoy reading about a toxic marriage or a home with secrets. The darker the better. I had in mind this book "All things cease to appear" by Elizabeth Brundage but it wasn't enough to be categorized as a gothic tale. I wish I could find something like "Crimson Peak" the book is as good as the movie.
