(I have made a post similar to this on the fantasy subreddit a while back, but I found this subreddit today so Im also trying here.)
I used to be a big bookworm as a kid, but that changed around middle school. I have just started my senior year of HS and I really want to get back into it. Im mainly starting with audiobooks but thats not a requirement. The main thing that gets in my way is my short attention span. Often if a book doesnt keep hooking me in, I can get bored of it easily. I want to get past that, so I am asking for recommendations of fantasy or dark books. The only thing I ask is for little to no romance/spice. Im fine with a side plot of romance, I just really don’t like when books are mainly romance.
Currently I have been doing research into books and asking around for suggestions. Feel free to give suggestions or warnings about them. The first one I just started reading. Here is my current TBR in order:
- Powerless By Lauren Roberts
- Six Of Crows By
- The Lies Of Locke Lamora By Scott Lynch
- The Spellshop By Sarah Durst
- Loveless By Alice Oseman
- The Prison Healer By Lynette Noni
- The Maximum Ride Series By James Patterson
