I recently got a job answering phones at a local nonprofit. We hear from a lot of people whose lives are falling apart and twice I’ve gotten calls from people actively contemplating suicide. I don’t know what to say and there’s no training available where we live. Please, does anyone know a book that teaches how to talk to people in distress?
