I'm getting back into reading and finding that it seems like it's much easier to find someone who can write a good story than someone who writes impressive prose.
One book that did it for me was Remarkably Bright Creatures. I actually almost stop reading it at first because I thought that the plotline wasn't interesting enough for me, but it was the quality of the writing that made me pick it back up again. I really thought the pros had this sparkling quality and I loved how the author used words.
I'm looking for more light/heartwarming reads like that that are impressively written.
