Can you recommend a book for me? I'm a total beginner and haven't picked up anything since school. I'm looking for something that's easy to read and fun. I really enjoyed the Harry Potter series—would that be a good option?
Just don’t feel discouraged when you see how thick those books are!
If you hit a wall, try different types of books: hardcover, paperback, audiobooks with headphones, e-reader with different fonts…
Some bilingual readers read nonfiction in one language and fiction in another language. There are a lot of variables that can make good books better – or ruin your experience.
If turns out that you find first Harry Potter childish, try for example biographies. Who do you think is interesting person?

Dangerous Angles by Francesca Lia Block is a fun, easy read. And I never hear anyone talk about it
