I am craving a book that will help me understand the world and its inhabitants better.
For me, the platonic ideal for this type of book is Carlo Cipolla’s “The Basic Laws of Human Stupidity.” It’s insightful, simple to understand, and simple to apply to day-to-day experiences (and pretty funny, to boot). I think about its central framework (the 2×2 visualization) probably once a month, particularly at work.
Can anyone recommend a book with similar concepts or frameworks?
