Hi all, can anyone recommend some novels that are have a lot of detail or mentions of the practical & domestic side of a household in the Victorian/Regency/Edwardian/Georgian periods?
It really makes my history loving heart sing when I read all the little details about running a household and definitely adds to the feel of the overall story. I can’t stand historical inaccuracies as they really distract me from the plot.
A good example in the mystery category would the Holmes & Hudson series by Martin Davies or the Laetitia Rodd series by Kate Saunders.
It’s also hard to go past L M Montgomery!
