Obviously this is partly to do with length and novellas and shorter stories therefore lend themselves more to this. But I was thinking recently about certain books I love to read in an afternoon. The Old Man and the Sea was the first that came to mind. Any more classics or otherwise I can get from the library and spend an afternoon zoning out from the world?
