I don’t read so much, and I’m able bodied— most of the time, I can get away with not using any sort of accessory (by which I mean bookmarks, page holders, etc).

Now I’m christmas shopping, and I realise there are all sorts. There’s the obvious— book marks, reading lights, but I’ve been seeing like embossers, stamps, bags, all sorts!!

Maybe I should get myself something. I used a receipt as a bookmark in my last book and when I lost it halfway through had to go out to the shops for another. So now I’m curious; do you use any?

    1. I would treasure an actual bookmark. I need something to mark my place when reading a physical book and usually use a piece of scrap paper but a true bookmark would delight me. I would also kill for a reading light for when I have physical books. Really enjoy my convertible kindle case that can also make a stand for the kindle

I’m interested in what embossers and stamps do in terms of reading accessories? Like, I use book related stamps in my carding, because I love to read. And I’ve used embossers to make cards in the past. But, I don’t consider those reading accessories, so I’m intrigued.

I love cute or pretty bookmarks, but I lose them constantly, so I use whatever scrap of paper is around. I do like to buy them for gifts. Leather ones are beautiful!

I have often wanted a reading light, as my lamps and overheads in my bedroom never really cut it, but my outlets are in really weird places and I’ve never wanted the battery operated ones.

    3. Personally, reading accessories are solutions looking for a problem. Anything other than a book and decent lighting makes the reading more unwieldy to me.

    4. I collect bookmarks and always use one. I also recently ordered a personalised embosser that makes me grin every time I use it.

How do you not use a bookmark? I mean, I often use just any random paper, but it is essentially a book mark. If you fold pages to keep track where you are then shame on you!

    6. I love magnetic bookmarks! I use regular bookmarks, too, but the magnetic ones can help hold pages down and I’m less likely to lose them.

I also have some book sleeves that I use if I’m taking books out of my home. They help protect the book and there’s a little pocket on the front where I can put pens, paper, or a reading light.

I love the embossers. Reminds me of when I was little and one of my Xmas gifts were these beautiful stationary notes that were personalized for my books
