Help please, what (objectively) was happening in the latter half, from an observer’s POV?
I realize the shape of the space may be wrong, as it is in The Shining where the hotel exists and functions as a hotel but Kubrick designed it in the film so the hallways we see can’t exist.
But what is the narrator doing? In the Shining we can see what Jack is doing, and I can’t figure out what the heck the narrator is doing once it gets wierd.
And yeah it’s meant to be surreal and open to interpretation as to whether he’s seeing actual things in the mall or whether he’s “seeing things” because mental illness but I can’t place his movements or activities (or the others things) in the mall or behind the scenes in malls I worked in.
