I recently read Gamgland by Chuck Hogan which is a fictionalzied story of a real event that happened to the outfit in Chicago in the 1970s and I’m wondering if anyone knows if similar novels set in NYC. Something with a vibe like the mafia storyline in the show The Deuce, or Donny Brasco (I’ve read Joes book), or similar. Bonnie’s if 70s NYC is also a prominent character.
