I'm in a very iffy period of my life and really need to get my mind off things. Unfortunately, I'm a picky reader. I adore fantasy like the witcher books (especially "the baptism of fire", the characters are peak), ASOIAF, some thrillers like Drive your plough over the bones of the dead and boys in the valley. Two genres I specifically avoid are YA and romance, I just have not enjoyed them (no shade to those that do). Are there any books with immersive worlds, that are well written and utilize some element of mystery to keep things interesting, y'all could recommend to me?

I just read The Raven Conspiracy by Michael Spratt. The most fun book I have read in 10 years – read it twice in 48 hours. YOU CAN NOT BE DEPRESSED AFTER READING THIS IMHO
however, the entire book is anti-snob; as I read it
