Please recommend any books for my wife and I to read prior to our first child being born. We are somewhat nervous new parents and are very excited to start this new chapter of life. Anything like "What to expect when your expexting" and "The baby manual" would be appreciated.
We also want to start reading to her in the womb and as an infant around bed time to build that routine. What children appropriate books would you recommend. I know she can only grasp high contract picture books her first few months of life but I want to build up our library so it's there when she can use them. I grew up with Shel Sylerstien, Richard Scarry, Clifford the Big Red Dog, the Barenstien Bears, and Frog and Toad.
