Currently reading It Happened Once Summer by Tessa Bailey. 70% finished. I saw Hook Line and Sinker highly recommended so decided to read them in order (I do still plan to read it). Coming to you from ACOTAR which I loved. I especially loved the romance aspect. After that I read a quick murder/thriller and now onto a more lighthearted book before I dive into my next fantasy romance series. So now here I am
With ACOTAR I loved the tension and romance and steam, and decided I wanted MORE. So I thought I would try a regular old romance book. I don’t HATE it but I definitely find some aspects cringey and yet I still keep turning the page. It feels like a horribly cheesey Hallmark movie. Anyone have any other recs? Romance, tension, a good slow burn with a good payoff later on in the book, smut, etc
