Hi Everyone, Please recommend some books for 10 year old girl. She has read Matilda, Coraline, and some other children books of Roald Dalh, Neil Geiman and Sudha Murti. She also likes short mythological stories and books with some pictures in between. She is not keen of Harry Potter so far.

There are some lovely illustrated editions of Anne of Green Gables.
It sounds like she has a pretty high reading level! I am pretty sure Percy Jackson is aimed at middle schoolers, but Rick Riordan is so fun for kids who love mythology. I read The Kane Chronicles at 11 and absolutely adored the series. The story surrounds Egyptian mythology! If I remember correctly, there are a few fun illustrations. I would seriously recommend if she hasn’t read it already. The first book is The Read Pyramid.

I think Neil Gaiman‘ Norse Mythology is also choice then. Wouldn’t be the worst time to introduce to some HP Lovecraft – The Call of Cthulhu – my nephew is 11 and he loved it. I got him the illustrated version. He took away my old copy as well. 🙁
Perhaps The Phantom Tollbooth? And The Best Christmas Pageant Ever is another favorite with big-personality characters.
My daughter loved The Wings of Fire series and the Warrior Cats series around that age.
