Hello! I have always been one of those people who just can’t sit still to read. I found an intriguing book on booktok and I bought it.
It was The Hike by Drew Magary. I was hooked instantly. I loved the absurdity of it, the heart, the dark humour. I read it in less than a day.
I went back to the same video I got that suggestion from and got Hollow Kingdom by Kira Jane Buxton. Finished that one in 2 days. I laughed, I sobbed, I’m still thinking about it.
Now I’m stumped. I have no idea what to pick up next or what genres of books to look for. I like the length of both of those books as well. Relatively short but not super short.
Like I said, I’d consider myself a “new” reader. I don’t want anything too difficult or dry. I love the profane and absurd that also makes you think. Like a psychedelic mind f**k if you will. But an adventure I guess?
Anyway, if anyone has any suggestion for something similar to these two books I’d really appreciate it!!!
