I finished reading The Priory of the Orange Tree and I have a hangover from that book, it was soo good!
Can someone please suggest something even better. I have a rather unreasonable checklist if you can please find somehing that tick the boxes:
• Fantasy (magic/dragons/witches etc)
• Rich world building
• Political scheming with dodgy characters
• Well developed characters that you get so attached to but can be killed off anytime in G.R.R. Martin style.
• A side of romance but with so much tension filled build-up that's NOT Cheesy (looking at you ACOTAR and 4th Wing 😑)
• Long and gripping. Don't mind 1000 Pages
• Preferably stand alone. (Up to trilliogy)
• Age-mature (please no YA)
• Preferably female author and preferably female protagonist (or antagonist)

The Fionavar Tapestry by Guy Gavriel Kay. He is a male author but there is a strong female lead character.
