Normally I like to read mystery/thrillers with active investigations/kidnappings/etc which are very enticing to read, but are a little too graphic for me right now (9 months pregnant). Open to either mystery, but not graphic or another genre altogether as long as it's not romance.

This was a light mystery [Magic for Liars](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/34594037-magic-for-liars)
The White Darkness by David Grann
The inheritance games, it’s a mystery, quite fast-paced, also has a good audiobook, but it’s YA. I still enjoyed it. Completely different but very worth it especially as a soon to be mom: The little prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. Quite short but incredibly heartwarming, beautifully written and not as boring as it may seem.
I like a lot of the same kinds of mystery books. I found a couple of authors who write great mysteries without a lot of the graphic stuff. Both Kendra Elliott and Melinda Leigh do a good job with the characters and mysteries. Elle Grey is a bit newer on the scene, but also good.
How about some cozy mysteries?
The Accidental Alchemist mysteries were fun little popcorn books
Jane Langton’s Homer Kelly books
Louise Penny’s Inspector Gamache series
If you want to try some steampunk, you might enjoy the Parasol Protectorate series by Gail Carriger or the Jackelian series by Stephen Hunt. Interesting, action but not terribly gory.
The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet by Becky Chambers is excellent sci-fi
The Nations Rage by Kylian Gates should fit the bill, according to almost everyone I’ve talked to who has read it.
Incidentally, it looks like there’s a Kindle free book giveaway for it today
More like a thriller, have you read The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides?
