Suggest a book based on my travels

Hello! I am looking for fiction or historical fiction books based in the Mediterranean.

I will be in Northern Spain, then sailing across the Mediterranean to the south of France, Sardinia, Sicily and Greece.

This is one of my favorite pre travel activities; to search for and then immerse myself in a setting only to then experience that setting for myself and use my imagination while exploring.

I have a Kindle and can therefore “pack” many books. Thank you!
