During the pandemic, I dove deep into Hemingway's books and was fascinated with the lost generation and its evoked feelings. The last Hemingway book I read was a moveable feast, and it left me with a feeling reminiscent to losing a loved one. I read F. Scott Fitzgerald's book This Side of Paradise shortly after, but it didn’t scratch the itch. Any suggestions on Hemingway-style writers? I would greatly appreciate any suggestions.

Stoner by John Williams. A more recent classic from 1965, but set in the first half of the 20th century. Reminds me of something from the era of Hemingway or Fitzgerald.
Ok this was written in 2000, but The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay by Michael Chabon is set in 1940s New York.
