Stealing The Heart Of Darkness from my School Library
So, our school library has THIS BEAUTIFUL MAGNIFICENT EDITION of The Heart Of Darkness; our school being small and most students being only interestesd in thrillers and Children's Book; classics are left abandoned to rot and never picked up again. Last time it was taken from the library was 2014 and it's safe to say that no one except literature addicts and book lovers like me would pick that up. It'san Penguin Popular Classics edition, the one with he coconut trees and all, I once tried to rent it from the library out of curiosity and it then captured my heart. The browned pages with those imperfect and flawed dented edges; the cover of the book basically rusting away. Oh lord, it felt like heaven in my hands. Ever since then I keep thinking about it, of how it should be mine and it needs me, or else just like the other classics it would be abandoned and left in the void for the rest of eternity. Which I dont want. I tried to find the same edition here, but apparently that's quite old and I'm unable to find any.
Now, the stealing part. So my bestfriend and I made this plan of distracting the librarian so I can steal the book and all; it wouldn’t raise any eyebrows. A masterplan. And yes, I haven’t read the book, been meaning to read it. Now guys, what do you all think about this? This is a very unsual post and it might get deletedidlk but i felt like sharing. Committing immoral acts, stealing as though due to being enamored by a book. So yeah! Would love to listen to your thoughts.
