Looking for something similar to *Friend Request* by Laura Marshall, where being stalked due to something they did is the main plot. But whenever I poke around for books about the protagonist being stalked soooo many of them have her paired with a cop character who either protects her or ends up in a relationship with her.
Can anyone recommend some good ones?
Preferably past tense, but I can do first person present if necessary. Not a fan of third person present, unfortunately.
Also it doesn’t have to be FMC, I’ll read about a man being stalked too lol

I think this isn’t what you want, but it’s a great book and your question made me think of it. Rose Madder by Stephen King is about a woman being stalked/chased by her cop husband. So there’s a cop, but not helping her. I can’t recall the narrative style, but I’m pretty sure it’s 3rd person present.
