The last time I completed a series was PJO and recently I’ve tried Jade series/Green Bone Saga but it wasn’t hitting for me. I haven’t caught up with releases like I used to and I’ve heard of some here and there. Are there any series with fantasy/action elements you would recommend?

Try the Locked Tomb series! 3 out of 4 books are already out but I would still say it’s “new”

*Notorious Sorcerer* by Davinia Evans – another first book of a trilogy, book 2 is out this month
Not massively new but not that well known: Chronicles of the Bitch Queen trilogy by KS Villoso, starts with *The Wolf of Oren Yaro*
Likewise, not as well known as it should be: Winnowing Flame trilogy by Jen Williams, starts with *The Ninth Rain*
If you read *The Goblin Emperor* by Katherine Addison, that’s not new but she’s now also written another couple of books set in the same universe but with a different protagonist – the first one is *The Witness for the Dead*
The Singing Hills Cycle, a series of novellas by Nghi Vo – the first one is *The Empress of Salt and Fortune*
*She Who Became the Sun* and *He Who Drowned the World* by Shelley Parker-Chan – completed duology of historical fiction with some fantasy elements
