Science fiction / fantasy not YA

I really enjoy the SciFi and fantasy genre but I keep ending up choosing YA ones or overly sexual ones to the point it detracts from the story. ( think Sarah J Maas ) both of which I'd like to avoid.

Any good recommendation of books to read? I wanted to limit it to the last 5 years but maybe any publication date but excluding the big well known authors that I likely already read, LOTR, Robert Jordan, etc
