I love fantasy books or mythical stories set in slower / historic or different times, with magic and less modern tech.
Ursula LeGuin Earthsea trilogy comes to mind ( I also loved her book Lavinia.)
I enjoyed Song of Achilles for the romance. I also love cheesier romantic fantasy like Acotar, Throne of Glass etc. but looking for something that has the depth of LeGuin. Bonus points for queerness or fantastical world building and extremely detailed settings and characters.
