looking for a certain type of book

I’ve been looking for a certain type of a romance fiction novel with the male lead being sort of obsessed with the female lead in an unhealthy(?) way. I just didn’t want to word it like ‘yandere’ since that is technically what I’m looking for, but it’s also a manga character trope that’s overused and could mislead users into thinking that I’m looking for manga instead. 😭
