I recently finished reading An Intimate History of Humanity by Theodore Zeldin after a short hiatus from reading and have been absolutely floored by its writing and depiction of history. The way it tracks the evolution of emotions, conversations, human relationships, and ways of life across history combined with Zeldin's style of prose was unlike anything I've ever read. And now that I've finished it I want more so I was wondering if anyone had suggestions for books that capture history and humanity in the way this one did? All recommendations are welcome!
