English is my second language and i am currently C2. I understand and speak english perfectly, but as an avid reader, sth still bugs me deep in my mind when i read books not in my native language. I dont mind hard books, i want books that can make me forget i am reading them in English.

All you need is a really good book. And a lot of practice. Just
like you, English is my second language. My first book in English, I had to read the first chapter twice. Once I understood that the main character was a woman called Hat, short for Harriet, and not an actual hat, everything started making sense! I’ve been reading in English for over 20 years now. Just persevere and pick a book you’ll enjoy.
