a well-written non-ya fantasy with a purposeful, driven female protagonist and with interesting romance?

the title basically says it all.

i’m looking for a fantasy or sci-fi that has a female lead on a mission or with some grand or fixed purpose.

i’d love some romance too but i’m not looking for ya or one of those “trashy” romance novels (no judgement for those who love them, it’s just not what i want rn). the relationship doesn’t have to be explicidly romantic but i’d like there to be an interesting/unexpected/unconventional catch about the dynamic.

(my ick is a pregnancy trope so something without it, please.)
