I knew Lyonya was going to die. I fell in love with him just as hard as Mila did, so obviously he had to die because that’s what books do. Make you love them and then rip your heart out. I think a big part of it is he reminded me of my husband. And now I don’t want to finish the book because I’m heartbroken.

Old Dan and Lady Ann. I knew it was coming but still hit hard when it happened. I still finished it but took me a bit to collect myself before moving on.
