hi, one of my friends was recently incarcerated. he's really bored as you can imagine, and he's started reading books. he didn't have time to read much before so i don't want anything super complicated or that will confuse him. he's very intelligent, a little spiritual, and he's a father. ideally i'd like stuff that can help him keep a positive mindset but nothing too preachy. any genere or plot is good, just something you all think would be a good fit. sorry that's soo specific but i can't think of any good books for him!

Maybe these could be a good fit?
The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom
The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho
The Midnight Library by Matt Haig
A Man Called Ove by Fredrick Backman
For a young man incarcerated the Alchemist is a great choice.
