I've recently got back into reading after a 10 year gap, and I'm struggling to find books! Most lists i've found are full of classics that I either read at school or have no interest in reading.
I don't tend to enjoy anything too 'pretentious' or 'deep', and that's making it hard to find anything worth reading. I'm willing to give anything a shot however! I find myself wondering around waterstones for hours and leaving empty handed 🙁
I'm also not a fan of romance or murder mysteries. Did quite enjoy the twilight series though haha!
Ideally books that are under 1000 pages and not part of a series.
Books I've read and enjoyed recently – trainspotting, skagboys, no country for old men, the ritual, Harry Potter 1-7, a clockwork orange, basically every Stephen King book, dark matter, the Martian, the revenant, his dark materials, Jurassic park, the Andromeda strain.
