I just finished reading Less is More: How Degrowth Will Save the World by Jason Hickel and was really taken by how he laid out the only true way to make a difference in fighting climate change was to dismantle American Capitalism and advocate for the concept of Degrowth. Separately, I visited Europe this past week and was blown away by the care free nature of some cultures and how they didn't seem stressed, had time off to go on holidays, pursue other interests or just live life. Whereas in America our work culture often seems the complete opposite. It just feels like it doesn't have to be this way and I'm very interested in exploring this topic further. Good Enough Job by Simone Stolzoff is another one that scratched this itch.
