Long story short, I (26F) just found out my boyfriend (27M) of two years has been cheating on me for basically the entirety of our relationship.
I always have at least one book that I’m reading at a time, but I finished my most recent one the day before everything went down. I had two in the queue – Hera by Jennifer Saint and I Hope This Doesn’t Find You by Ann Liang. IHTDFY is a romance, which I can’t bring myself to try, and I couldn’t focus on Hera. I love Greek mythology books, I’m just not in the headspace for it at the moment.
I would like to read something that’s fiction or a memoir along the lines of Everything I Know About Love by Dolly Alderton or Really Good Actually by Monica Heisey. I’ve read both of those already, but that’s the vibe I’m looking for. I don’t want any self-help books or anything like that, just something thought provoking and strong female centered. Thank you for your suggestions while I try to navigate a lot of new emotions 🫶🏻

It’s a very distinct feel, but Patrick O’Brian’s Aubrey Maturin series has helped me more than once. The first is Master and Commander and it goes on for 20 more books. Good luck.
