Hello! I am picking a book for our DEI book club. The topic is LGBTQIA+ in higher education. I would like a non-fiction book, but I personally have a difficult time reading non-fiction so the more unique and captivating the better! The audience is mostly student services advisors/those in student affairs and the goal of the club is to provide access to different experiences so we can best serve our students. Ideally the book would be set around higher education (or at least touch on it) Would love to hear any recommendations you might have!!!

Are you looking specifically for a book that is centered around LGBTQIA+ in higher education? Or just that the people reading it in your club work in higher ed? Don’t know if the below qualify but I enjoyed them as they’re more memoir adjacent.
We Have Always Been Here: A Queer Muslim Memoir by Samra Habib
Fun Home: A Family Tragicomic by Alison Bechdel
Boys and Oil: Growing Up Gay in a Fractured Land by Taylor Brorby
