I don’t think I need to explain why I’m asking. Also, I’m a guy, mid-twenties, and don’t mind reading in English, Spanish, French or German. Specifically looking for fiction
some examples that come to mind in terms of the ‘vibes’ I’m looking for:
Stoner, Gaddis
Disgrace, Coetzee
Holiday, Middleton
The Corrections, Franzen
Lesson, McEwan

It’s tough, but remember you’re not alone. Here are a few books that might resonate with what you’re feeling right now.
John Banville’s “The Sea” tackles grief and personal introspection in the aftermath of some major life shift. The way he writes, with his lyrical prose, and the delving into the inner world of the protagonist, makes it quite a potent read with regard to comprehension of aftereffects of certain emotional events that have great magnitude.
“The Light We Lost” by Jill Santopolo, shows how a great love can turn into sadness after breaking up with that person as one tries to come to terms with the end of that relationship. It deeply explores the complexities associated with letting go and becoming whole again following a major life transition.
Both are richly introspective with regard to dealing with life’s big shifts and may be quite resonant for you.
Sorry you’re don’t with this. In my mid30s now and went through the same thing 6 years ago.
Siddhartha has always been super grounding for me. Not directly related but the philosophy is provoking and meaningful
Thanks for asking! I’m about to be divorced & I’m hoping to come back for some recommendations.
I hope you are doing well & that you find a meaningful book!
