My Mother (mid 60s) and I are doing a long road trip together in a couple days and I just learned that my Spotify account now has audiobooks available, so figured this would be a good way to pass the time. Neither of us have ever listened to an audiobook, so I’m looking for something that’s a good intro to the format!
We both like Mystery, Sci-Fi, or Fantasy genres. My Mother doesn’t like gore, books where the timeline jumps around, or any plot that takes its time getting going.
For example, she says she likes cozy mysteries, I really liked The Thursday Murder Club and gave it to her to read, but she said she found it boring and DNF’d it.
