I’ll try not to include any plot spoilers, but sometimes it’s hard to describe what you like about a book without giving something away.

I saw Project Hail Mary recommended multiple times and gave it a read. I loved it SO much! Shortly after that, I read Mickey7 and I also really enjoyed it. I have started reading Beware of Chicken (audiobook version while I drive), and am having a great time with this story too.

I think one of the stand-out things for me are the wholesome relationships between the characters and how compassionate they are. And with the state of the world at the moment, I kind of need my escapism to offer me some loving kindness. All of that being said, can you folks suggest me some books with good character development, wholesome interactions/relationships, and actions that are seemingly driven by compassionate values?
