…in the sense that the killer’s character insight/development is apart of the whole/bulk story, not just a reveal at the end.

I’m often recommended twisty psychological thrillers from my friends but they just don’t seem to do it for me personally. I almost thought the genre just wasn’t for me but then I loveddddd the experience of getting to know Francis Dolarhyde and Buffalo Bill right from the get go.
I’d love to read more books like that where the killer’s identity is NOT a secret to the reader. I couldn’t care less for a twist or five.
