I just finished reading the book and I'm appalled by the gratuitous unnecessarily detailed description of child rape, adult self mutilation and drug abuse.
What did people enjoy in this book? I read some people saying I cried soo much after reading this book yet the only thing I wanted to do after reading it was expunge it from my memory.
So just curious, how did you go past these gory details ans endure the slow pace till the end?
