Odd & Specific Request

Hey everyone,

I'm looking for a suggestion of a fiction novel with a very specific sort of vibe.

I want a story that is hopeful/uplifting– not scary or dark at all– but is written in a sort of eerie/unsettling tone.

Think something like Field of Dreams (kind of spooky, mysterious, unsettling — but it is not scary at all and us uplifting) or A Christmas Carol.

I referred to it as "unsettling kindness" to my husband, but we haven't been able to come up with anything. I know it's a weird vibe, but thank any of you that try to give a suggestion for this!!
