Book with Highly Strategic, Politically Skilled, and Eloquent Characters?

I'm looking for a book recommendation where the characters are eloquent, politically skilled, and masters of manipulation and scheming. The story should feature characters who can think on their feet, turn situations to their advantage, and put intricate plans into motion.

I enjoy strategies that are highly logical, schematic, and almost mathematical in their execution, as well as social manipulation that's skillfully carried out.

Characters like Ging or Pariston from Hunter X Hunter or Griffith from Berserk come to mind. The characters don’t have to be evil, but they should be highly strategic and capable of outmaneuvering others.
