Hi all! Looking for recommendations for a book that will convince my friend to break up with his girlfriend. It’s not a very healthy relationship and the typical intervention measures haven’t worked. Hoping that a good literary work will say what I’ve been trying to. Definitely doesn’t have to be specifically about relationships/love but preferably will help him recenter around achieving his goals and working towards career success, rather than an overly controlling and restricting relationship in the prime of his life. Bonus points for Penguin Classics since we bonded over loving those. TIA!
