I have a problem with procrastination and putting my work the for ‘next day’. Especially studying, I don’t do it until I force myself to because of how close the deadline is. It’s because I get bored from being consistent with studying that I just want to do something else, but what doesn’t get me bored is reading a nice fun book.
I have this nice idea of reading a book about strategies and techniques to overcome this habit. The problem is that there are many books that talk about these things, but I don’t want to read them all, I just want to read one. I’m afraid that when I choose one it ends up being plan and the way it gives me the information is boring like reading a school book.
I’d like to find that one book that helps with productivity in a fun way. Mainly by telling exciting stories to explain each new point or technique, like the book ‘Never Split The Difference’ where the author gives a story about a hostage negotiation situation in each chapter and explains the methods throughout the story and the mistakes he made that you should avoid.
This method in my opinion is very effective because it gives me a way to link techniques to stories and visualize how they work. I’m hoping that someone will recommend me a book like that. Thank you in advance for every recommendation.
